- On Monday the Utah Supreme Court heard arguments in a case where a woman claims Jehovah’s Witnesses leaders forced her to listen to audio of her own rape
- She claims she was raped by an 18-year-old fellow Jehovah’s Witness when she was 14 and he recorded one of the assaults in December 2007
- She claimed church leaders played the recording over four hours in 2008 to get her to confess that she voluntarily engaged in sex outside of marriage
- She sued four elders of the congregation and the national Jehovah’s Witnesses organization in 2016 for intentionally inflicting severe emotional distress
- The lower court ruled that under the First Amendment the church was shielded from any liability, leading her to appeal the case

Normally birds of a feather flock together. Have you ever wondered why certain judges are loosey goosey with the sentencing of a rapist or pedophile? It is because they have committed similar crimes against humanity to get into their high school cliques and college fraternities, and therefore they have empathy for a garden variety of sex offenders. The same goes for clergy. Our criminal justice system, churches, schools are just men’s clubs. If you are female or a child and not able to donate big bucks to the church or organization, you are low priority in the congregation. Normally society sides with a societal termite with a penis because it is so easy to demonize women and children…you know shame and blame them. It is really quite uneducated. If clergy refuses to study psychological effects of this type of trauma you are dealing with blithering idiots. I urge anyone in any church who is a victim of sexual violence to not even tell your parents because most likely they will have the same socially inept/uneducated mindset because they care more about being a people pleaser than a parent/advocate, and that any women or child should RUN straight to the police and/or hospital. Let the authorities know that your church is big on covering up crimes against humanity and demonizing victims and so are your knucklehead family and friends.

Some things are just WRONG! What those elders did was inexcusable on many levels regardless of what the secular court rules. Hopefully, she wins but this kind of madness goes beyond all sense of decency.
